Visa & Entry

Do I need a visa to travel to China? Can you help with that?

Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter mainland China. We will provide all necessary documentation for your application, such as an official invitation letter and a detailed itinerary, but you will need to submit the application yourself at your local Chinese embassy or consulate.

Which countries have visa-free access to China?

As of 2025, China offers visa-free entry for ordinary passport holders from: France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Brunei, and the UAE.

Important: Visa policies change frequently. Always confirm with your local Chinese Embassy before booking.

What are the key things to know about entering China visa-free?
  • Passport Validity: At least 6 months remaining from entry date
  • Purpose: Tourism, business, visiting family, or transit only
  • Duration: Count begins from day after entry
  • Onward Travel: May need proof of departure ticket
  • Accommodation: Register within 24 hours (hotels handle this)
Is China a safe country for foreign tourists?

Absolutely. China is one of the safest countries for tourists, even at night. Strong public security and strict laws on firearms and knives. Use common sense with belongings.

I don't speak Chinese. How will I manage?

Your English-speaking private guide handles all communication, translation, and coordination for a seamless experience.

What about internet access? Can I use Google, Facebook, or WhatsApp?

Many Western apps are blocked in China. Install a VPN before departure or rent our portable WiFi with pre-configured VPN.

How do I pay for things in China? Will my credit card work?

China is a mobile payment society (WeChat Pay/Alipay). International cards accepted at hotels but not everywhere. Your guide can help set up payment apps.

Yes! Airport pickup at Shanghai Pudong (PVG). Combine with our private car service for a seamless arrival. Driver meets you with a name card.

Price & Payments

How much does a custom trip to China cost?

Starts from $200 per person per day. Final cost depends on duration, hotel standard, activities, and travel season.

What is included in the price? And what is not included?

Included:

  • All accommodations as per itinerary
  • Private, English-speaking guide and dedicated driver
  • Domestic transport (flights/trains) as listed
  • Entrance fees for all scheduled attractions

Not Included:

  • International airfare to and from China

What is your payment schedule and what payment methods do you accept?

10-20% deposit to confirm booking. Balance due 30-60 days before departure. We accept Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer, and PayPal.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

YouBenBen travel services are customized service products, not physical goods. Once itinerary planning, guide coordination, supplier checking, activity booking, or other preparation work begins, service costs may already be incurred.

  • Survival Kit and digital products: Generally non-refundable once the file, download link, or access has been delivered.
  • Travel service deposits: The USD 99 or USD 199 payment is a deposit. It may be refunded only within 24 hours after payment and only if manual itinerary planning has not yet started. After 24 hours, or once planning has started, the deposit is non-refundable. In some cases, it may be used as service credit for another eligible YouBenBen travel service within 6 months.
  • More than 15 days before service: 70% of the balance payment may be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable.
  • 7 to 15 days before service: 50% of the balance payment may be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable.
  • 3 to 6 days before service: 30% of the balance payment may be refunded. The deposit is non-refundable.
  • Less than 3 days before service or no-show: No refund.
  • Non-refundable third-party costs: Activity bookings, guide scheduling, transport arrangements, restaurant reservations, tickets, workshops, supplier cancellation fees, and similar costs may be deducted from any eligible refund.
  • Rescheduling: More than 7 days before service, one free reschedule may be requested, subject to availability. From 3 to 7 days before service, one reschedule may be requested, but supplier fees or extra costs may apply. Less than 3 days before service, rescheduling is generally not available.
  • Flight, visa, entry, or personal travel issues: These do not automatically qualify for a full refund. We will try to help adjust the itinerary where reasonably possible.

How do I activate my SIM card?

Email with activation instructions sent after purchase. Airport pickup: staff assists. Delivery: self-activate following instructions. Do not insert until you arrive in China.

How soon will I receive my SIM card?

Can I use Facebook, Instagram with the SIM card?

Due to regulations, only government-approved websites. VPN required for Western apps. We can help set up a VPN.

Can I make calls with the SIM card?

Yes, call duration depends on your purchased plan.

Can I use the SIM card immediately?

No, requires ID activation. Airport pickup: staff activates. Delivery: self-activate. Do not insert until in China.

Do you offer Portable WiFi devices?

Yes! Pre-configured VPN included. Pick up at airport or ship to your accommodation.
